What can we learn from bad events.

I lost my father when I was only six years old. He was the main provider for our family, and his

unexpected death had a significant impact on our lifestyle. As a result, I was separated from my

siblings due to financial constraints, and being the youngest, I stayed with my mother. It was a

difficult time, and I found myself feeling angry at God for taking my dad away too soon. I couldn't

help but envy my siblings who had been taken in by our wealthier uncles and had all their needs

met, while I struggled with fewer resources. This continued to shape my youth.

However, I've come to realize that despite the pain and hardships, God has always been there for me, working behind the scenes to prepare a remarkable plan for my life. In 2019, while serving as a missionary in the England Manchester mission, I experienced a transformative healing. One Monday, amidst tears and questioning, I heard a voice telling me, "I have always been with you during these moments." In that instant, I ceased crying and began to reflect on the countless instances where God had supported me. I sincerely repented and can confidently say that I am now healed, fully believing that God is present in every detail of my life.

Furthermore, I was deeply sad when Brother Williams shared his family's story of losing his brother. Initially, they were all devastated and burdened with guilt over the decision to remove him from life support. However, I was impressed by their remarkable growth and resilience in coping with the situation. Their family relationships became stronger, and positive changes began to occur, especially in the relationship between Brother Williams and his father. This reaffirmed my belief that adverse circumstances can, in fact, lead to positive outcomes.

It's important to acknowledge that not everyone is able to overcome the effects of negative situations. Coping mechanisms play a crucial role in determining how individuals navigate such challenges. In my past experiences in Ivory Coast, I often engaged in arguments with some friends who came from financially struggling families. Many of them resigned themselves to the belief that their circumstances were normal and didn't see the need to work hard to change their situation.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that even during difficult circumstances, there are valuable lessons to be learned. Each experience is unique, and we can find opportunities for personal growth and development. A verse that resonates with me is Romans 8:28, which states, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." I bear witness to the fact that challenging events are meant to teach us something and help us reach important milestones in our lives, if we are willing to learn and accept that it's okay to go through them. Additionally, the talk titled "Infuriating Unfairness" taught me that Jesus Christ understands the concept of unfairness and has the power to provide remedies. It gives me reassurance that everything will eventually be okay because pain and suffering are part of the human experience, and our Savior will take care of us.

It's important to remember that while negative experiences can sometimes lead to positive outcomes, it is not a guarantee. Life's circumstances vary, and each situation should be evaluated individually. One of the beauties of being a child of God is having the power and strength to rise when we fall. I believe it all comes down to our decision to accept that negative moments are inevitable and are part of our human existence. By learning from them, correcting our mistakes, and continually improving, we can find hope and resilience in the face of adversity."
