Why is dating so difficult sometimes ?

We live in a world with various expectations that are believed to contribute to our happiness. Some of these expectations revolve around dating and marriage. Dating serves as a crucial step before marriage, and men and women often have different perspectives and desires when it comes to dating. In the past, men often assumed that women preferred romantic dates, but this is not always the case. Cultural differences also play a role. For instance, in my culture, expressing your feelings to a girl before dating her is acceptable. However, in other cultures, such as in the United States, it may be viewed differently. I recall a personal experience where, during my first date with a girl, I openly expressed my feelings towards her. This startled her, and she conveyed something that left a lasting impression on me. She told me that I should "date her the American Way." This statement prompted me to conduct further research, revealing that in America, it is customary to date someo

We are all equal.

We live in a society with norms and beliefs that shape various aspects of our lives, ranging from religion to marriage and beyond. Today, let's explore the differences and strengths between men and women. During childhood, we develop habits and behaviors that shape our personalities. Girls often exhibit kindness and affection towards their environment. They tend to focus on taking good care of their friends, family, and toys. Many girls have a close bond with their fathers, while their relationships with their mothers may vary. This behavior can be partially explained by the Oedipus complex. Additionally, girls typically emulate their mothers' behaviors from a young age. A study has shown that, in the United States today, more women are receiving education than men. These qualities and skills, such as being cooperative and nurturing, are valuable assets that can benefit families and communities. One notable strength I have observed when interacting with women is their excepti

Family and Culture

Are there any links between the way a family behaves and the culture?? This is the type of question that people will ponder for a second before answering because it entails people sharing their thoughts or sometimes their life experience with the topic. Personally, I believe that they could be a link or relationship between our culture and our family.  Let’s try to define a culture. I will define a culture as a group of values, language, language leading factors in who we are and how we act. A culture can influence us to act a certain way without sometimes noticing it because we have got used to it, and we come to a clash whenever we meet someone who acts differently as we do. For example, in my culture, it is not appropriate to burp whenever we are eating with other people. People will get mad at you and tell you how nasty it is to do something like that. During my missionary experience, my companion was burping all the time whenever we were eating dinner. I explained to him what it

A little understanding of relationship

My view on family and relationships have improved dramatically since I decided to take a Family Relation class here at Brigham Young University. During this week's learning, we spoke about theories in marriage that could help couples or singles understand the reasons why people behave in a certain way and what good practices could be used to face any of these issues. Marriage is a relationship where two people share everything they have with each other, meaning their strengths and weaknesses.  In any relationship, whether it is marriage or not, partners have expectations, hope, and a perfect description of how they would like their relationship to be. Sometimes having those expectations about the way, we would like the relationship to be can create conflict. In fact, one of the theories about marriage is the conflict theory. Conflicts happen to any relationships or teams settings and can be considered as part of the Human interaction. In conflict theory, I have learned that one par
